We are located at the MaRS Discovery District in the heart of downtown Toronto, a hub for medical research, technology, and business. MaRS is situated between the world-renowned University Health Network (UHN) and the University of Toronto, making it an ideal location for multidisciplinary collaboration with clinicians and investigators across various hospitals and research institutes.
The Epelman Lab has access to high-level facilities in both the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower (PMCRT) and Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research, including the SickKids-UHN Cell Sorting Facility, Animal Resources Centre at UHN, the Advanced Optical Microscopy Facility (AOMF) and the Princess Margaret Genomics Centre, which offers various next-generation sequencing platforms such as 10x Genomics Single Cell RNA-Sequencing. The Epelman Lab also possesses state-of-the-art personal equipment such as the BD LSRFortessa cell analyzer for Flow Cytometry, BDFacsAria Fusion cell sorter for cell sorting by flow cytometry, Zeiss Axioimager fluorescent microscope and VisualSonics Vevo 2100 System for echocardiography.
